Ryann DeSouza, LMFT has about 20 years of experience working with Autism and intellectually disabled adults, children, and their families. She also offers ADHD coaching. This page is for autistic people, people seeking ADHD coaching, and family members who want practical, respectful support.
She also has an extensive understanding of the severe developmentally, behaviorally, and physically disabled community. Sessions are available in person in Burlingame, CA and by HIPAA-secure telehealth across California, Virginia, and West Virginia.
How Ryann works
Ryann has practiced psychotherapy for over 16 years and will tailor the dialog and treatment plan to your unique needs. Approaches used in this practice include:
- Behavioral Therapy (ABA) focused on changing maladaptive behaviors through learned skills and reinforcement.
- Play Therapy as a natural medium for children to express feelings and develop coping skills.
- Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to work with thought patterns that get in the way of daily life.
- Solution-Focused Therapy to identify strengths and build on what is already working.
- Expressive Arts Therapy when non-verbal or creative process is a better fit.
Family and parenting support can be part of the work. Ryann is a certified Attached at the Heart Parent Educator (API, since 2018). Modalities include individual, child and teen, couples, family, and group therapy.

- $175–$250 for 45–50-minute sessions; $250 for 60-minute sessions
- Limited sliding scale based on income, family size, and availability
- Certain Employee Assistance Program (EAP) plans only. Otherwise out of network. A monthly superbill can be provided
